Spring Session begins in TWO Weeks! WOW!

17 Mar 2022 by Diana Stambaugh

Hello!
The spring session is almost here! The spring session officially begins April 4th. Similar to the fall session, we will be focusing on a different topic each week:
1. Week 1: Freestyle
2. Week 2: Backstroke
3. Week 3: Breaststroke
4. Week 4: Butterfly
5. Week 5: Freestyle Starts, Turns, and Finishes
6. Week 6: Backstroke Starts, Turns and Finishes
7. Week 7: Open Starts, Turns, and Finishes (Fly, Breast, Individual Medley)
8. Week 8: Review and Relay Starts and Finishes.

In preparation for the Spring session, we did transfer some swimmers to the next group up. Many of you we spoke to and many of you we may not have. These changes go into effect (officially) for the April billing cycle. Please talk to your coaches if you have questions regarding these transfers.

For those swimmers that are currently swimming and want to continue, you do NOT need to do anything (If you paid for the year, spring is included; if you paid by session, you will be billed on 4/30/22; if you pay monthly, you will be billed on the 15th of each month).

For those swimmers who wish to take the Spring off and discontinue, please email Heidi (hwagnerkiser@bgclubs.org) or myself (dstambaugh@bgclubs.org) before 3/31/22, so that you are not billed for April or May. This includes any swimmers that are swimming through Nationals, but taking the rest of April and/or May off.

For those swimmers who are not currently registered, but wish to register for the Spring session, you may do so now. We have updated each group with what openings we have. You will want to do this sooner than later. We have noticed a higher volume if interest in our swim programs of late.

Finally, just a reminder that the water main to the building is being shut off tomorrow (to update the sprinkler system), so the building will be closed (no practices). We have been told that we should be good for Saturday morning, but I recommend checking your email just in case. If you don’t hear anything, we are good to go.

As always, please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.
Diana
